On a beautiful Saturday, November 5, 2011 the newly formed Jakarta Stake held its First ever day of service in conjunction with their partner the Red Cross of Indonesia or Palang Merah Indonesia an organization of National Association in Indonesia who are engaged in humanitarian social activities, held a stake wide blood drive to benefit the needy through out Indonesia.

Every three seconds someone needs blood. One out of ten people that spend time in a hospital needs blood. One pint of blood can help save up to three people's lives. "Lets give blood Lets give hope" is a motto we all could follow.

Another great donor was Brother Soewignyo, who also started donating on his mission in Malang in 1982.

Sister Vera from Tangerang has given 17 times, expressed how good it made her feel to be able to help those in need.

There were also first time givers. Bishop Lee from Bogor gave for his first time, and expressed his gratitude for the stake making it possible to give.

A box lunch was given to all who participated during the day. The drive was highly successful and members had many good things to say about the drive.
